Do What You Love

Sundays are for doing what you love (actually, every day is)

A reminder to always take time for what you love.

On Sundays, I’m going to send you a standing invitation to find some time in your day to be very intentional about doing something you love.

I try to do that every day. And most often, I likely do multiple things every day that I love.

But, I also try to do a few with more intention.

What does that mean?

For me, all that means is noticing, taking myself off autopilot long enough to really appreciate what I’m doing. Noticing how that feels: Am I more relaxed? Am I inspired? Do I feel more connected to a person or community?

When I can slow down and be intentional (and I’ve probably talked about his before! LOL!), I can better understand what I need (and don’t need) to stay engaged and healthy(ish), and grounded.

I’ll share one of my loves: Bluey.

I know, it’s kind of on-trend to love Bluey right now. But I don’t care. I really love the show so much, and there are episodes, like Sleepytime, that I find so deeply moving and endearing that no matter how many times I watch there’s something new to love.

(Spoiler alert: Part of Bingo’s exploring the solar system involves letting go of Floppy and realizing that her mother, Chili, is the sun, warm and constant, the center of her universe).

So, my invitation to you today is find something you love to do and notice how doing what you love makes you feel.

(Feel like sharing? Post what you love in the comments or email me!)

(ps: I just realized I’ve been sending these without the ability to share/like/comment. Oh my stars. Please do all of these things and try to forget I had to admit this to you, lovely reader.)

Bluey’s most iconic lines (My fave is “For real life!”)
